Investment Company Act of 1940

Investment Company Act refers to the Investment Company Act of 1940, including the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder. It is legislation passed by Congress requiring registration and regulation of investment companies by the SEC. The Act sets standards by which mutual funds and other investment companies operate.
